Labor Day weekend's Illinois Blues Fest on the rivefront in Peoria is an end of summer central Illinois tradition. We'll be there Friday August 29th and Saturday August 30th. Enjoy this year's line up of musicians -- celebrating 20 years of the Illinois Blues Festival.
On the Media, Sunday at 10 AM You're invited to turn on, tune in, and wise up with On the Media. Hosts and veteran journalists Brooke Gladstone and Bob Garfield decode what you hear, read, and see in the media every day, arming you with the critical tools necessary to survive the information age. With compelling reporting and uncommon insight, the program breaks through the white noise to uncover significant issues of the day and carefully expose the relationship of the media to culture and society.
The Infamous Stringdusters debut CD won the coveted Album of the Year from the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2007, with the title cut “Fork in the Road” earning Song of the Year. GLT presents this amazing band at Illinois State University's Center for the Performing Arts, Saturday, September 13th. Tickets are available right now!
Soon we'll be unwrapping new digital radio stations. First we had to unwrap a new digital transmitter (see photo with GLT Engineer Mark Hill). Transitioning to digital radio means our main signal will sound a bit better and we'll be able to bring you two new radio stations. To accomplish this, we've installed and are still tweaking a new transmitter. Until the installation is complete, we may sound a little funny and sometimes you may not be able to hear us at all. We're sorry for any inconvenience, but we think you'll like the new listening options coming soon.

You can hear a jazz mix that ranges from the newest to the some of the earliest on GLT. Check out Laura Kennedy and Jon Norton and our daytime mix, great to keep you company during the day. Evenings are a time to relax. We're even here overnight. Listen as Kevin Trueblood brings you GLT Jazz until Morning Edition at 5 AM. Hear swinging early jazz during SwingTime, Tuesday at 7 PM and swing is the thing during Radio Munson Thursday night at 7. Check out our program grid to find a time you can enjoy GLT Jazz.
